How to Become Wealthy with Self-discipline

All self-made billionaires have something in common: they have the best habits that help them make a fortune.

Basically, applying the same habits to our life is the recipe of how to become wealthy. In order to change our lives, we have to change ourselves.

What is self-discipline?

Self-discipline means the effort we make to do what we have to do, even when we aren’t in the mood for doing it.

There’s no quick way around it and there’s no payoff without work. The amount of money we make is proportional to the amount of value we bring to the world. And that value can’t be increased without the required effort.

We will discuss what all rich people have in common and what are the disciplines of billionaires that we can apply to direct ourselves to wealth.

1. All rich people have healthy habits

A sharp mind always goes hand in hand with a healthy body. If you don’t properly eat the foods that provide nutritional value, if you don’t make physical exercises to clear your mind, it will be very hard to be focused. The world is full of distractions and stress factors. Your wish for wealth only adds more to that.

Getting more money is proportional with expanding your mind.

There is a certain wisdom and mental improvement required to acquire a fortune. Not to mention the level of energy that you must have to deliver hours and hours of hard work. There is a no-brainer that taking care of your body is essential and even more important than taking care of your bank account.

Also, you would want to enjoy your cash after you get it. Only with a long and healthy life, you can do that.

2. They focus on constantly improving themselves

Rich people get rich because they start to grow as human beings. The level of value they provide to the world, their ability, their knowledge, these grow before money starts to show.

Once we understand that we get what we deserve, we can start to work on ourselves.

Self-education is something that we must do all our lives. We must constantly look for ways to do a better job at what we do and in a better way. If we settle, if we stop getting better, if we start to believe that we know it all, that’s when we lose.

“Poor people have big TV’s. Rich people have big libraries.”
― Jim Rohn

This is what my mentor used to say. And it’s clearly obvious that getting more wisdom is required to improve ourselves. Now don’t get me wrong. I don’t say that we can read anything and the fortune will come. No! I’m talking about books that really help you get wiser. Books about money management, motivation, personal development, how to do a better job (at your type of work), how to be more efficient etc.

Read as much as you can, and you will progress as much as you wish.

3. All wealthy people have the best time management skills

You will never see Bill Gates wasting time. Or any other billionaire. That is for a reason: time is more important than money. You can get more money, but you can’t get more time. So it’s very crucial to properly manage your activities.

Think about your daily schedule and on what do you use it.

On the point above we mentioned TV. Let’s say that you watch TV for 2 hours every day, and you decide that you can use this time more productively. That will gain you: 2 hours x 7 = 14 hours / week. That is 56 hours a month. You just gained more than two days by just removing one simple thing that you can live without. You can do a lot in these 56 hours, trust me.

Also, all the wealthy people are early birds. Most of them brag on how much they can work without sleeping. That’s because they try to use their time as productive as possible. And with self-discipline and determination, you can achieve that level of efficiency also.

I don’t say that you should become a workaholic zombie 😂, but being lazy is not a good idea either.

4. Dreaming big is the key on how to become wealthy

If you don’t have a vision, you don’t have a fortune. If you don’t have that big dream that pulls you towards it, you will have to push yourself into doing How to become wealthy with self disciplinesomething every day. And that’s exhausting.

You gotta have a big vision that you aspire to get. A big dream so compelling that will make you jump out of the bed right before that alarm starts to ring.

And if you are next to achieve your goal, make a new one right away. Without a vision, we just come to an end.

Dream BIG, live BIG!

5. They focus on serving people and making the world a better place

In order to get rich, you have to understand: life is not about “me”, it’s about “we”. The whole purpose of any business is to serve the community. To make the world a better place. And if you don’t have a niche that serves people, there’s always room for charity. Compassion is one of the noblest feelings we can have, and it gives us the proper respect for life. We can’t get that level of mindfulness elsewhere.

Living to serve others is what makes our lives truly happy and fulfilled.

It doesn’t matter if you are a firefighter, manager or a chef. Your work is also important for other people and we all are dependable on each other. When we dedicate ourselves to make other people’s lives better, our lives get better. And at the same time, our bank accounts.

There is no coincidence that the wealthiest people on Earth are also the biggest philanthropists.

6. Rich people always look for opportunities to expand their area of expertise

Never settle! It doesn’t matter how much you know and how good you are at what you do, there’s always something available for improvement. We need to constantly progress and expand to truly achieve our potential.

Don’t get stuck in only one area. There is not the time anymore when we learn something, master it and that’s it. We must be flexible and be able to juggle things. What is popular in the marketplace now, might go history in one month. If what you do goes downhill, you need to be flexible enough to move on another thing.

That’s it for now, I hope you guys love it. This is not all the ingredients on how to become wealthy, but these are strong principles that we need to apply in our lives to get there. Keep in mind that the amount of money we get is proportional to the amount of value we bring to the world. So keep expanding, improving and chasing your dreams. You will get there! 💪
