6 Simple Ways to Boost up your Metabolism

Metabolism is defined by the physical and chemical processes that take place within a living organism in order to maintain life. Definition aside, metabolism is primarily the nutritional transportation in our body and fat burning.  So, the better your metabolism rate is the better your general health.

In fact boosting your metabolism is proven to be connected with losing weight, gaining muscles and overall better fitness state. I present you 6 simple ways to accelerate your body’s internal processes:

1. Drink coffee and green tea

Due to the action of caffeine and the green tea benefits, we get a simple yet tasteful boost up for our metabolism. There are lots of benefits that coffee and green tea bring to our health, but metabolism acceleration is one of the most potent. You get something amazing by sipping your favorite drink with your friends or while working. We are talking about drinking these without too many added sugars and fats.

I don’t recommend coffee creamers and other strange products. Add a little bit of sugar and low-fat milk and that’s it (You add milk only to coffee because it breaks some health benefits in green tea. Green tea best goes with a slice of lemon).  And if you ask me “Coffee or green tea?”, I personally prefer to enjoy both.

2. Fast-paced workouts

All workouts are good for our body. But those in accelerated pace have even more benefits. It’s scientifically 6 simple ways to boost up your metabolismproven that quick and adrenaline pumping exercises have tremendous positive impact on our health. They’ve studied marathoners vs. sprinters body types, and sprinters definitely get a better defined and toned physique from their workouts.

When I first learned that getting ripped and strong is obtained by fast paced workouts it was a game changer. Everything changed within my body. My posture, my level of energy, my excitement towards exercises.

Just because I changed the speed of it. One half of hour of these accelerated workouts will still draw energy from your body the whole day. That means you will lose weight faster, will be healthier and stronger.

3. Eat more veggies

I am a meat guy and I am not afraid to say it. But I know and I feel the importance of veggies in my life. Without them, I will have no important nutrients, not enough fibers, and my blood will be way too much acidic. It’s recommended to eat as many as them and as natural cooked as possible. Some prefer going for eating vegetables raw because they have more nutrients.

4. Be happier

Your mood is connected to your metabolism. That’s because every type of emotion has a different reaction in our body. We have these emotion body maps that are different for each kind of it. It is proven that happiness and love are the most complete emotions we can have because they make the heart pump strongly and delivers the highest amount of warm blood into our entire body.

Not the case with fear, for example, that draws away the heat from extremities and only keep it to our core body. That’s why you get chills only when you are afraid and never when you are happy.

This is a deep impact in our body because we are warm-blooded organisms. We cannot function properly when we have a temperature below 37.0 °C (98.6 °F). It’s also proven scientifically, that a cold non-oxygenated part of our body is the perfect environment for viruses and diseases to develop (like cancer). They can’t stand and grow in warm oxygenated places.

Being happy makes you warmer, more oxygenated and relaxed, therefore it accelerates your metabolism. All you have to do is to enjoy the wonderful things life gives us every single moment.

5. Hydrate yourself

Not getting enough water is the main reason people get weak, their metabolism slows down and they start gaining weight.  Our body is approximately 70% water, so it’s easy to understand why is so vital to hydrate enough. We lose water on a regular basis through sweat and urine. To keep things going smoothly inside our body and in optimal condition, we should consume at least 2 liters of water a day.

Water, not liquids.

Also, keep in mind that caffeine and alcohol dehydrate our bodies.

6. Jumpstart your morning

Get quick out of bed, drink a glass of water to cleanse out your body and start to do some exercises. All you need is 30 minutes of energy to start your metabolism and have it for the whole day. It will increase metabolism, give you a good mood and also make your body addictive to high levels of energy for the whole day.

It will also train your body and your mind to jump out of bed with energy and keep it that way. 30 minutes for the whole day of energy and good mood? I’m in!

When you brew green tea, excessive heat or over-steeping will result in a bitter, tannin-rich tea. An instant digital probe thermometer and a simple kitchen timer are valuable tools when you’re brewing tea!

That’s true. You shouldn’t keep your green tea brewing too long.
